Crypto-Copyright.com releases new proof of ownership service

In today’s society, where the era of the Internet has taken over the world, proving that an individual was the first to create a file can be quite difficult, especially since once content is published to the Internet, it only takes a couple of minutes for it to appear on other sites, and for others to copy the work and put their names on it.

Well, Crypto-Copyright.com represents an innovative platform which aims to allow users to get their documents certified by a decentralized proof of ownership service, thus clearly removing doubts related to who owns the copyright to a certain piece of work.

With this in mind, once a document is submitted on the site, the service will embed cryptographic hashes of the files, or raw text, directly into the Bitcoin Blockchain, where anyone who is curious can view proof of ownership. At this moment in time, any sort of digital work such as PDFs, MP3s, text documents, and raw text can be submitted for proof of ownership.

While there are other similar services available on the market, this one is unique thanks to the SHA-3 hashing algorithm that is being used. This makes the platform immune to attacks such as length extension undertaken by people who wish to steal the user’s work. In fact, there aren’t any known collisions at this moment in time, which would have the potential of attacking the embedding algorithm. Unlike services which use SHA-2, clients can rest assured far into the future that once their work has been copyrighted, it’s bound to remain theirs.

Another interesting feature is that our users are allowed to submit messages signed with the same bitcoin address used to pay for the service, hence initiating a two-factor cryptographic proof. Once the purchase is finalized, all details will be included into a PDF that users will be able to download at the end of the process.
In terms of prices, Crypto-Copyright has chosen to offer the service at the low fee of 4 mBTC, which is required by the embedding algorithm. This makes the service significantly cheaper than other companies, which require higher fees, while also providing inferior services.

Based on everything that has been outlined so far, Crypto-Copyright.com aims to provide superior proof of ownership services, by quickly inserting the cryptographic hash of the work into the Bitcoin Blockchain, and offering secure and low-cost solutions as well.
